For the second time this season the Missioners found themselves two down against the Robins, thankfully this time having pulled level it was Hayes who scored the winner and not the Surrey side.
This was a game of two halves when and Carshalton were soon ahead when Tommy Carter pounced on a mistake before setting up Panni Oritis who fired Carshalton ahead after just two minutes.
Hayes tried to play the ball around but rued their missed chances, Adam Cornell put Michael Gordon through but keeper Anthony Hall saved well. Another run by Cornell found under 18's wide man Toby Little but his shot went wide but he was found to be in an offside position anyway.
On 32 minutes another mistake in the Hayes midfield saw Oritis put the Robins two up after Hayes failed to clear the ball.
Hayes tried to make work a way back into the game but found Carshalton keeper Hall in inspired form.
Manager Colin Davis kicked some urgency into the Hayes players at the break and this was shown by a massive difference in the Missioners approach after the break.
A through ball by Dwain Williams put Toby Little clear with only the keeper to beat but shot over the bar. It was not until twenty minutes from time that we finally beat Hall in the Robins goal as Michael Gordon netted after a fine solo run.
The Missioners then started to create chance after chance against a very young and tiring Carshalton side, finally getting a deserved equaliser through Miles Jones five minutes from time. Hayes wanted the win more and finally got it two minutes from time when Williams smashed home a free-kick from the edge of the area.
