Harefield United 2
Hayes 3
Hayes' reserves travelled to Harefield United on Saturday and got back to winning ways just edging out the home side in a five goal encounter.

Hayes took control early in the game but had to wait until the 30th minute for the breakthrough, a fine run and cross on the left from Ryan Tackley saw Miles Jones convert the chance from close range.

Ten minutes into the second period we extended our lead courtesy of an Adam Cornell tap in only for the home side to reduce the arrears ten minutes later with a well worked set piece.

Another Cornell strike saw the two goal advantage reinstated just five minutes later but a penalty by the home side ten minutes from time set up a tight finish that saw the Missioners cling on to earn a futher three points that moves them to 6th in the table.

Despite being a fairly lacklustre performance we took three points and now move on to face struggling Champions Hemel Hempstead Town at Church Road on Saturday.
