New signing Liam Grier opened the proceedings in the 6th minute when his initial shot rebounded back to him and he finished by putting the ball in the top left corner of the visitors net.
Stafforde Palmer was the next to score, a dainty flick from his left foot to his right left the defender stranded whilst the young striker finished for his fifth of the season.
The second half was to become a complete rout, within two minutes of the whistle a corner from Miles Jones was met by the head of Adam Cornell to put us three to the good. This was closely followed by substitute Mark "Junior" Thompson holding up the ball before feeding it to an unmarked Adam Cornell to score our fourth.
Jones was again creator as his cross was turned in by Adam Cornell who had his first hat-trick for the reserves, this was also his eighth goal in the last five games for Colin Davis' side.
We were then gifted an own goal by defender Jamie Slade who was forced into the error by a Thompson cross that was fired hard into the box only to be turned home by the Hemel man. New arrival, from Wealdstone, Thompson was then on target himself netting the seventh as his hard shot beat the unfortunate John Pearce in our visitors goal.
Miles Jones was to be our final scorer of the day when he flicked a header around a defender before moving to pick the ball up himself and shoot past the stranded Pearce.
Today was like watching our reserve team from a few years back, full of confidence, accurate passing, good shooting and a very competent defence and more to the point no fewer than seven of todays players featured for our under 18's last season.
If it were not for the agility of our visitors keeper the score could easily have been in double figures.
